Analytical Chemistry

The Analytical Chemistry Department supports chemical analyses of solid and liquid samples, for quality control or R&D purposes.

Our laboratory services include (among others) the following activities:

  • Environmental control and characterization (water, sludge, waste, soil sampling and testing).
  • Microbiological water analysis.
  • Analytical services for raw materials, intermediate and finished products concerning aluminium, copper, steel, zinc, etc.
  • Trace elements analysis.
  • Migration testing in food packaging.

Techniques applied (among others) include:

  • Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS), with Graphite Furnace (GFAAS) and Hydride generator (HGAAS)
