The Research Paper “Fracture behaviour and characterization of lead-free brass alloys for machining applications”, authored by Mr. Anagnostis I. Toulfatzis and Dr. George A. Pantazopoulos from the Mechanical Testing Department of ELKEME S.A. and Professor Alkiviadis S. Paipetis from the Department of Materials Science and Engineering of the University of Ioannina, was recently published online from Journal of Materials Engineering and Performance – ASM International / Springer (DOI: 10.1007/s11665-014-1096-3). The paper mainly focused on the mechanical properties and the implied fracture mechanisms, together with the microstructural relationships of ecological Pb-free brass alloys for machining applications.
