Numerical Modeling

The numerical modeling department tackles the complexity of industrial processes, with state-of-the-art models that incorporate:

  • Transport phenomena (CFD/Heat & mass transfer)

  • Phase-change physics (solidification, evaporation/condensation)

  • Solid mechanics (static & dynamic stress/strain analysis)

  • Big data & machine learning (artificial neural networks, correlation & regression analysis)

The department delivers modeling solutions for the metallurgical industry (casting, melting, annealing, hot/cold rolling, extrusion, stamping) and others (coatings, automotive, pipes, cables, composite materials).

The department has at its disposal a wide array of computational tools, including ANSYS (Mechanical, LS-Dyna, Fluent), MATLAB and Python.
