Dr. Fani Tzevelekou of the Process Metallurgy, Environmental & Corrosion Departments of ELKEME participated in the 10^th European Slag Conference held in Thessaloniki, 8-11 October 2019, jointly organized by the Laboratory of Building Materials of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, EUROSLAG and AEIFOROS S.A. The participants had the chance to share updated knowledge, ideas and research related to technical applications, environmental and legal aspects for all kinds of iron and steel slag. The conference was attended by persons involved in processing, using and marketing slag from private companies, public authorities, research institutes, universities, technical schools and environment safety organizations. Legal framework issues, markets and best practices, as well as research and innovation topics concerning slags and slag based products were presented and discussed.
