The lecture with the title “Evaluation of the Machinability of CW614N Brass Alloy” by P.P. Monka, K. Monkova, G. Pantazopoulos, A. Toulfatzis, S. Papadopoulou was presented in the frame of 6th International Conference on Structural Integrity and Durability (ICSID 2022), 20-23 September 2022, Dubrovnik Croatia. The lecture, based on a greater research project towards the development and assessment of lead-free (“green”) machinable brass alloys, presented an overview of the machinability aspects of the reference CW614N brass alloy, together with modern analytical techniques, such as tool vibration frequency monitoring. The ICSID 2022 Conference intends to be a forum for discussion of the present and future trends in experimental, theoretical and applied fracture mechanics, fatigue, structural integrity assessment, failure analysis, and other important topics in the field. Dr. George Pantazopoulos was also served as chairman of a session which was held on 23rd September 2022.
