Participation in LIBS 2016, Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, 12 – 16 September 2016

Dipl. Eng. A. Flampouri of the Process Metallurgy Department participated in the 9th International Conference on Laser-Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy – LIBS 2016, held in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc, on September 12 – 16, 2016.

The LIBS technique and its applications as well as an update on current developments were presented by LIBS R&D researcher and company teams from all over the world.  Discussions which followed the presentations covered various topics, such as industrial process & quality control, analytical chemistry, pollutant analysis and monitoring, energy & nuclear, recycling,  forensics, biological & medical, microanalysis & mapping, cultural heritage & archeology and field exploration.

Finally, the commercially available LIBS based systems and LIBS related equipment were presented and demonstrated.
