The paper with the title “Study of Grain Structure and Crystallographic Orientation of Extruded 6xxx Series Alloy Profiles” authored by Dr. A. Vazdirvanidis, Mr. I. Skordilis, Ms. M. Katsivarda, Mr. P. Stavroulakis and Assistant Professor S. Papaefthymiou was presented in the 14^th International Scientific Congress Machines, Technologies, Materials (MTM 2017), Varna, Bulgaria. The paper presents the investigation results of optical microscopy and texture analysis with EBSD of extruded Al alloy profiles examined in longitudinal and transverse sections in order to determine the reason for grain contrast variation observed after Barker’s electrolytic etch.
