Dipl. Eng. I. Pressas of the Numerical Modeling Department of ELKEME participated in NUMIFORM (Numerical Methods in Industrial Forming Processes) 2019 conference which was held in the Portsmouth, New Hampshire, USA and was mainly organized by the University of New Hampshire. The conference involved some recent developments in the simulation of a plethora of different industrial processes, while multiple innovative material models were presented. Other topics involved simulation of fracture mechanisms, polymer forming, joining, composite forming, etc. Furthermore, a number of highly respected academics in the subject (e.g. Prof. Needleman, Prof. Barlat and others) gave plenary talks during the conference. The conference concluded with visits in University of New Hampshire and University of Michigan establishments.
