Dr. Fani Tzevelekou participated together with representatives of Eval Colour in the 55th ECCA (European Coil Coating Association) Autumn Congress, which was held in Brussels 29-30 November, 2021.

The congress provided a thorough update on EU Green Deal – Chemical Strategy for Sustainability regulatory landscape and the impact on the Coil Coating Industry. The technical and environmental developments in prepainted metals were addressed and novel technology highlights towards a Zero Carbon Coil Coating Line were presented. The need for combining energy performance, decarbonization and circularity in the built environment was emphasized along with the key challenges of meeting products quality and longevity. The importance of Innovation and Strong Teamwork along the supply chain were recognized.
