MSc. Chemist, Theodora Pentovolou, member of the ELKEME Analytical Chemistry Department, participated in the IUPAC Global Women’s Breakfast. Global Breakfast is an event that happens each year in conjunction with the United Nations Day of Women and Girls in Science. The aim is to celebrate the accomplishments of Women in Science and to inspire younger generations to pursue STEM careers. Women and men from all types of science organizations are coming together to share breakfast either virtually or in person. A central goal is also to establish an active network of both men and women to increase diversity in all aspects of science. The Global Breakfast facilitates the formation of communities on a local, regional, and international scale to effectively share ideas and strategies for progress.
