Dipl. Eng. Nasia Flampouri and Dr. Fani Tzevelekou of the Process Metallurgy Department of ELKEME participated in the 149th TMS 2020 Annual Meeting & Exhibition (TMS2020) in San Diego, California, February 23–27, where the poster titled “Furnace Lining Degradation by 5xxx Aluminum Alloys” by A. Flampouri , Th. Tzevelekou, S. Papadopoulou, S. Pinis and N. Sgourdakis was presented in the Cast Shop Technology Symposium.
More than 4,600 scientists, engineers, students, business leaders and other professionals in the minerals, metals, and materials fields from around the world attended the conference. More than 3,500 technical presentations at more than 85 symposia covered a broad range of the state of the art and technical advances in topics related to minerals, metals, and materials science and engineering, such as Additive Manufacturing, Materials Processing, Mechanics and Structural Reliability, Corrosion, Nuclear Materials, Physical Metallurgy, Light Metals, Characterization, Nanostructured and Heterostructured Materials, Advanced Materials, Electronic Materials, Energy & Environment, Biomaterials, Materials Design and Special Topics.
